SAN DIEGO – It’s officially the holiday season, when shopping, shipping, and returning become top priorities on many to-do lists. This year, The UPS Store offers ideas to help you spend less time running errands and more time celebrating this season:
- Pack and ship gifts: Be a real-life Santa by sending gifts to your loved ones. Bring your gifts to your nearest The UPS Store® location, and The UPS Store Certified Packing Experts® available at every location will help you pack and ship, including fragile or unusually shaped items.
- Protect your gifts: Exclusive to The UPS Store, the Pack & Ship Guarantee* provides reimbursement if the package is lost or damaged before arriving at its destination. For a limited time between December 1 through 19, 2024, if you purchase shipping for your package with UPS Next Day Air®, UPS 2nd Day Air®, or UPS 3 Day Select® services at The UPS Store and your package doesn't arrive on time, you will be entitled to a refund.
- Return gifts that didn’t work out: If a gift didn’t quite work out as expected, the returns process is quick and convenient at any The UPS Store location. Many locations now offer a self-serve kiosk for online returns with participating retailer QR code or pre-labeled drop-off packages.

As customers ship out their packages this holiday season, The UPS Store offers the opportunity to make a difference in their local communities by contributing to the Start Small, Grow Big program. Donations can be made for in-store credit card transactions by rounding up to the nearest dollar. In 2023, The UPS Store network coordinated $2.9 million customer donations to over 100 regional Junior Achievement areas. Donations will fund Junior Achievement programming which provides school-aged children with lessons in financial literacy, career readiness, and entrepreneurship.
Below are the recommended UPS® shipping deadlines for a December 24 domestic delivery:
- December 19 via UPS 3 Day Select® service
- December 20 via UPS 2nd Day Air® service (not subject to UPS Service
Guarantee)
- December 23 via UPS Next Day Air® service (not subject to UPS Service Guarantee)
